Hey, I'm Katie Viola.

I help women get clear on their money, understand their investments, and feel confident making financial decisions.

  • If you’re saving and investing but still wonder, Am I actually doing enough?...

  • If you have a 401k, IRA, brokerage account — or all three — but couldn’t confidently explain exactly what you own or why…

  • If your spouse or financial advisor has always been the “money person,” but you walk out of those conversations feeling more confused than when you walked in…

You’re in the right place.

My mission is to help women take ownership of the money they’ve worked hard to build, understand what it means for their future, and confidently make the life decisions that matter most to them.

The best part is, you don’t need to become a financial expert or get swept up in finance bro jargon. You just need to understand your money well enough to make decisions you feel good about. And that’s what I help you do.

MONEY SHOULDN'T FEEL THIS COMPLICATED

My goal was never just to have more money.

It was to have more freedom.

My husband and I graduated college in six figures of student debt. And by 25, I was already burned out by my NYC job and realizing that being responsible with money wasn't the same thing as knowing how to use it to build the life I actually wanted.

I wanted to do my 20s BIG.

I wanted to see the world, move across the country, and still hop on a Friday-night red-eye to show up for my people back home.

But I also wanted to do my 30s right.

I wanted to cheer my future kids on at 3pm on a Tuesday. I wanted a strong marriage without money constantly hanging over us. And after watching people I loved die far too young, I wasn't willing to save my entire life for “someday.”

How was I supposed to know if I could afford both?

Was taking six weeks off to backpack in Southeast Asia irresponsible? Could I spend $15k on a girls trip to Antarctica without screwing over Future Katie? Was I investing enough — or was I investing too much?

I’d ask my financial advisor these questions and somehow end up talking about the Fed, interest rates, and the energy sector, while it all went right over my head.

And I'd walk out thinking...

"But am I on track for the life I want??"

I wanted to know:

  • How much do I actually need to invest to retire?

  • What kind of house can I afford some day? In how nice of a neighborhood?

  • Is it worth taking a pay cut for a job I like better?

  • Do I need a Roth IRA? And WTF is the difference between an index fund, mutual fund and ETF?

I didn't need more finance jargon. I needed to understand what all of it meant for MY life.

That clarity allowed me to build wealth while traveling to all seven continents, taking 3+ months off work every year, changing careers, starting a family, and building our lives around something I value enormously:

control over our time.

That's what I want for you too. Not just knowing you'll be okay someday.

Knowing how BIG you can live your life right now.

MONEY SHOULDN'T FEEL THIS COMPLICATED

You shouldn’t have to speak fluent “finance bro”
to understand your own money.

The finance world has a way of making simple concepts sound impossibly complicated.

You can be smart, successful and responsible with money, and still leave a meeting with a financial advisor wondering what the hell you just said "Yes" to.

You don't need to follow the stock market every day, memorize financial jargon, or become obsessed with personal finance to become wealthy.

Everyone deserves to feel clear on:

  • whether you’re on track for the future you want

  • what investments you own and why

  • what you can comfortably spend today

  • what your options and tradeoffs are when a big life decision comes up

  • and what you need to do next to reach your biggest dreams

That’s the kind of financial confidence I help my clients build.

WHAT COACHING LOOKS LIKE

I’m not here to manage your money.
I’m here to help you understand it.

Here’s the thing about hiring a financial coach instead of handing everything over to an investment advisor: you don’t give up control over the money or power you’ve worked so hard to earn.

I’m not here to make decisions behind the scenes and update you once a year on a call that you barely understand. You learn exactly what's going on with your money and how it can support the life you want.

Together, we:

  • Look at your investments and your goals side-by-side
so you understand what you own, why you own it, and whether anything needs to change to support the future you want.

  • Run the retirement numbers
so that you finally know exactly how much you need to invest and when you can stop working.

  • Put real numbers behind your big life questions
so that “Should I max out my 401k, pay off my mortgage, or take my family on the dream vacation?” stops being something you endlessly spiral about.

  • Figure out what you can comfortably spend now

so you can live without that nagging, “But what if I need this when I’m 70?” No more defaulting to “save as much as possible,” living in scarcity, or feeling guilty over your cozy latte.

  • Create a plan you understand
so you leave feeling confident in what you need to do, what that gets you, and what to adjust as your life evolves.

ADVISORS CAN BE PART OF THE PLAN

Already have a financial advisor? Perfect.

A lot of my clients do. They just don't understand half of what they're saying.

I’ll help prep you for those conversations, and when helpful, join the meeting with you. We’ll break it all down into plain English, keep the conversation focused on what matters most to you, and make sure you get the answers you came for.

So instead of walking out thinking,

"I have no idea what I just agreed to."

You leave feeling totally capable of managing your money and advocating for yourself, instead of depending on someone else to manage your money forever (which can end up costing you millions).

The entire point of working with a money coach is that YOU become the person who understands your money.

LET'S DO THIS

Ready to feel clearer about your money?

You don’t have to figure it all out alone.

In as little as one session, you can finally have the clarity you’ve been missing for the last decade.

Let's start by chatting about what confuses you and what you want to figure out. Then I can recommend whether or not coaching can help you.
